Well for a few weeks now its had lines going all over the screen and I've hit it and it fixed that issue but now when I hit it doesn't work and the screen seems as if it has less liquid and its sitting on my bed..
So how can I fix this and is the liquid harmful?
Edit: I know that has less liquid because I'm touching the screen and the inward bubbles aren't as big as usual.

This happened to a laptop of my aunts. Couldn't figure it out. Turns out the screen was dying.
Eventually it stopped turning on. Its possibly the same for you if they are thin white lines that go horizontal.

Hitting your screen definitely should not have been your first plan of action when your screen started to mess up. That probably hurt you more than it helped you.

Ok as I remember, this is a cause of pressure harm to the sides of the screen.
You will probably need to get it replaced.

When I apply pressure to the sides of the screen the lines go away... | Yep. Thats exactly what happened on my aunts old acer aspire. You are going to have to take my word on it. The screen will die sooner or later. I can promise.

I got this issue when my laptop got too hot due to dust (I had it in bed and in my knees a lot).
After cleaning about dust and replacing fan it's much cooler, faster, quiet(er) and of course the lines are gone.

Sounds like a GPU issue to me.

Ye what did you think. The monitor itself doesn't go around and paint some lines across itself. Unless it has some dead pixles ;')

This is a big issue with there products.. Odd. | Yeah, Acer makes shitty monitors. They break a lot. The current monitor I have is completely retarded. Red and blue pixels just appear everywhere, but only when I'm doing normal stuff. When in games, it always goes away.

Thats why Id just swap out the monitor. I believe acer and emachines are the same company now. My house has all emachines/acer prebuilt laptops, and or homemade desktops.
Her old laptop was the 5050 model if I'm correct. Whats yours?
