|
Yesterday my directx games( I think it is the DX that is the problem) suddenly stopped working. Some of the games are: Batman arkham asylum, mirrors edge, prototype and saint rows 2
And the only real connection i saw was the DX, so i saw some diffrent fixes, but non of them worked
Any idea what it can be that suddennly failed?

Btw some other games like Demigod, Crysis and COD5 (WAW) works, So im not sure what it might be

Try reinstalling the games. Might be a corruption of dx files in the game its self.

Describe "stopped working." Also, DX can't be the problem if Crysis and WaW work.

By stopped working i mean that it crashes on startup and that kind of things...
How can it be the DX files in the games when a game a havent played in months wont work?
And the batman game Gives me an error that slffdriver.dll (System32 folder) Does not exsist, But i have checked; And it does exsist
I have tried most diffrent thing possible to fix it. I remeber i had a problem like this before and that time i just updated the DX and Hardware drivers (GTX 8800).
Btw, can one of the Vista Users out there give me a screen shot of the register key for directx?
Place to find directx (Reg):
Run: Regedit and follow this path
Code: | HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> DirectX |
The last thing i tried was this:
