Short in the cord, unscrew it snip out the part were the cord firsts start to go in, rewire the cut off ends. Then cover in a type of tape and your good to go.

Head to dealextreme.com if you're on a budget, but don't expect quality... There is quality, just don't be dissapointed if it eats your hand.

If you just want a good mouse get a logitech. I have a usb wired for my laptop. Was 10 bucks. Works awesome. Works on any surface. Laser.
Do you really need to spend that much money on a mouse?

Sounds right, me twiddling with the cord makes it disconnect and reconnect.
Not my types of mouse. |
What type of mouse are you looking for?
If you game, I guess I could suggest a Razer Lachesis, but I still prefer the Deathadder.
Logitechs are alright, I've used the g5 and g9. The G9 is a good mouse if your hands aren't too big, ignore how everyone says the mouse itself is bad. Im sure the MX518 is decent also, heard good things about it and it seems similar to the G5 except it lacks some features of it and that it uses optical instead.
I have owned the MX1000 myself quite a while ago, decided to get a new one because it started to double click alot when I single clicked.

Why spend money when you can fix it? My MX518 did this and I can tell you step by step on how to fix it. Do not waste your money.

I've got a Deathadder for about a year now. Still love it.

more than likely, they will replace it or send you a new mouse if you are nice and can provide them with what they ask. they sent me an mx revolution a while ago (which was like $80 at the time, maybe more)

Still, why would you spend 100 bucks on a mouse? I've seen new Graphics cards cost less :x

New mouse or videocard.... so hard to decide.....
I would go to a 4830 for $75 xP
When ever we recommend you a mouse you tell us its not for you..... How about getting the same mouse again?

This; they're such an great company. My G7 broke and they sent me a G9 (I'd probably prefer another G7 or G5 due to it's shape but it's still a great mouse).
