Whats the difference between Source valve games and non source valve games? aka CSS and CS

Source games use the Source Engine.
Other non Source games use different Game Engine's.

Source is valves own, 'new' engine.
CS relies on an older, modified Quake engine. It was called 'GoldSrc'.

No, you can't play together on TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES

CS:S is counter strike source. The other is counter strike on a different engine. There are also different types of the source engine as you may notice TF2 uses alot more cpu power than other source games. They seem to make the source engine run harder on certain things for different games. On other engines like cry engine or unreal 3 engine, you will notice that if you can play one game using it on your pc, others run just as well.

2. CSS runs on the source engine. CS runs on GoldSrc engine.

4. CS and CSS are two totally different games. CS is the original, CSS is the remake.
