If you bought a Win Vista PC in a certain range of days you got a free upgrade (mail-in-order), Is this copy locked to my PC's serial? You have to include all of this info when you mail it in. Because i already have Win 7 and I wanted to sell the one I'm getting on craigslist.

I asked Best Buy when I was there, it's not PC specific.

Not saying there lying but Best Buy always gave me bad advice in my experience with them.

But i don't think the Win 7 would be locked into your computer.

You can't legally sell Windows on craiglist... so whether or not it's valid doesn't matter if your going to pirate it away anyway Wink

I placed my order for my Win7 upgrade around September and it's still on pending for fulfillment... stupid gateway Embarassed

I believe upgrades come with a new key. I don't think the vista oem key would work.
