So I downloaded Transformers 2 and wanted to watch it on my iPod Touch, so I downloaded this iPod Videora Converter, but it keeps giving me an error that said it could not be found, so I found the problem and it said I needed to download a XVID MPEG-4 (XVID) codec which I did, and now it can play, but now no sounds are coming from the movie.

Do I need to download a different Transformers 2 link or something?

It was a ban conversion, use sony vegas 8.0b/c or 9.0 to convert it to a ipod version. It most likely will work if not oh well.

This method would most likely take forever, as Vegas render time is insanely long, depending on movie quality.

@OP, first, download this: http://www.cccp-project.net/
That contains just about every video codec you'll ever need.

Then try using a better converter; I've had some bad experiences with Videora ( It stretched my widescreen videos [ The ones with a black bar on the top and bottom of the video ] vertically to fit the screen thus resulting in horrible quality).

I recommend obtaining Xilisoft Converter Ultimate, and using the H.264 profile optimized for iPod Video.

Why is everybody using crappy (usually shady) un-free software to convert videos?
OP: Download and install Handbrake. It should be very easy to find out how to use it to convert video, even if you don't know what you're doing: refer to a tutorial from a search like this. If you need help, post.

EDIT: Or just download the inferior software illegally. Rolling Eyes

Thank you so much Misery, the converter is working great unlike Videora.

EDITl: Weird, it always says convert complete at 2%, and the 'output' is only 24MB.

Possibly because you don't have the full version; many converters will only convert a small amount of the video (as a demo) unless you have the full version.

You'll have to get the full version using the shady methods Karakawe mentioned, namely torrenting.

I was just referring to the overall sketchiness of nonfree media converters, mentioning that there are free (as in freedom) programs for converting between video formats that are better than those you buy from companies like Xilisoft. $56 for the "Ultimate" version of their Video Converter, and I'm almost positive it has nothing that isn't available for free (again, not just price) elsewhere.

Try Handbrake or even SUPER (though I don't think the latter is open source). Handbrake has presets for iPod-capable video output.
