To Dualboot. Use a partitioning tool or the default Window's partitioner to create a new Partition. Then when installing Linux, select the new empty partition. Once the installation is successful and restart your computer, you will have a choice of running Windows or Linux in the boot menu.
If you use Virtualbox, the viruses in the guest operating system won't get into your host operating system unless you allow file sharing or what ever that option was called.
Linux and Mac are very secure operating systems and it would be extremely rare to find a virus for them.
Therefore having Linux as a guest os is a very safe, secure option.
If you do any finance, buy or sell items, I and governments recommend you to boot into Linux via a USB as it is much more safe.

| Paragon was giving out free legal licenses for their partiiton program. It actually has an option to install a second OS.

Paragon is the best, it isn't free, but there are ways around it.

It's recommended you not use your USB external HDD as it's speed is slow compared tot the SATAII 3GB/s.

It's also possible to use a program called "unetbootin".
