I usually stick to pidgin but i decided to go back to msn. Its using 110mb just after launch. It usually sticks around 150mb. Im told by others theirs uses less then 40mb. Why is mine running so high?

Mine uses about 105MB at launch.

I have about 30 MB being used by msn, was it always like this before you got windows 7?

how do you know how much ram it uses?

I am running Windows Live messenger at 4,356Kb.
To check, go to Taskmanager(Control + Shift + Escape ), then go to process tab and look for msnmsgr.exe and see how much memory it's using next ot it's name.

ya I'm not sure why its using so much. I liked the old msn version better.

I launched it up to see, and it climbed up to 30MB, then when I hid it, it dropped down to 4MB.
