17 minute render using ambient occlusion materials with mental ray and raytracing maxed out. 1680x1050 32 AA samples per pixel.
Just a little 3D abstract art I thought of.

Ya, Maya has a very advanced animation system that's hard to learn, but for animating a ball rolling down that I could just apply a gravity field to the ball and use wind physics to push it down.
It's scripting language is .mel
