IMO, all codec packs suck. Managing manually install codecs is a bit tedious, but better than using a codec pack. If you're running Windows 7, there's already quite a few Microsoft DirectShow filters for WMP 12 installed (including H.264, MPEG-4 (XviD, DivX), AAC, etc). I use AC3Filter, CoreAAC (although this one is unnecessary), CoreAVC, CoreVorbis, Haali, Real Alternative, MADFilter (MPEG 1/2 Matroska support), and XivD (also unnecessary, just for support since there's some issues in the RC with XviD playback).
If you're still insisting to stick with codec packs, CCCP is nevertheless, your best option. It's better than K-Lite which is meh, and ACE which is outdated. See the beta builds if you want more frequent updates. CCCP is pretty much only FFDShow + Haali + some lesser-used codecs.
