|
|
For some reason, there is two copies of the My Documents folder on my computer. It's been like this for quite some time. If I make a new file in one, it appears in the other. If I rename one, in a few moments the other one has the same name. When I tell one to delete, it says that it's still in use by another program. It says that, even if it's the first thing I do when I restart. I can't do System Restore for this because it's been like this almost since I got it and it would remove most of the games I've installed. Help?

Yeah, I've done that a few times with Avast. It hasn't necessarily been causing big problems, it's just a bit annoying.

Open them both and see whats inside. Delete the one that lacks your stuff. There is no reason for 2 on 1 user.

Wait a minute...
Now I'm really getting confused.
(I'll use Bob Johnson as a name for here.)
When I go to
Desktop-Computer-OS-Users-Bob Johnson, Documents appears once.
When I go to
Desktop-Bob-Johnson, Documents appears twice and I can't use one of them.
WTF?...

Yeah, good thing Windows' folders make good logical sense.
Only thing I can think of is if you changed the name of an account in the past or something. Though the previous post might be onto something (if Vista does the same).
