Whenever I log into my computer (laptop) I see my desktop wall paper then black screen.

Anyway I can fix this?

Gonna need more information than that. There could be a million things causing that to happen.

Well let see, its a college laptop, and as soon as the wall paper hits my screen goes black, I can't do anything. Just black.

No mouse, no screen, no keypad controls.

It's pretty much just dead, and shitty.

Did you do anything before you restarted before the first time this happened?

Nope just turned it off and then this happened. The screen is also cut about 1/6th of the screen (4 inch black borders on windows logon screen)

You're just going to have to reformat then. If there is anything you want to save on there, attach that hard drive as a secondary hard drive to a desktop, and take the stuff off.

i have the same problem. it only boots in safemode (i think) problem is, i use an external moniter cause the laptop screen broke... which doesnt work for safemode, or backup

If all else fails, DBAN -> Install OS. But you would want to drain the HDD first. I don't know a solution though :[
