Fucking download speed at 20kb/sec, Help?

Earlier today, it was running at 150kb/sec+, now suddenly it's running at 20kb/sec, any help? any downloads neccecery?

The node you're on may as well just be saturated.

Try again when it's not a peak time.

also it depends on where you are downloading from as some sites( such as Rapidshare for ex.) limit your download speed.

If you have physical access to your modem/router, unplug it for a few seconds then plug it back in. My router sometimes likes to drop my download speed to 50KB/s for no reason, and at other times it likes to work for 2 seconds then take a break for the next 2 seconds and repeat. Always solved with a quick unplugging though.
