If you're not transferring a huge number of files (or could compress them into a rar/7z/zip archive) and don't have a great amount of patience you could use this site to transfer them. Quite useful if you feel like being lazy.

| The easiest thing you could do is find a cd-rw disc and use that. Most people have atleast one.

Option 1: DVD/USB/External HDD and backup files, then open them in new PC and copy them...
Option 2: Connect both PC's to the same Modem/Router, and allow File Sharing. Then make PC HDD shared. Then go to your Laptop and go to Network. Then find your PC, and you have full access to the HDD on the PC via the network, with the need upload and re download all your files using www.fileovermiles.com, and also you don't waste DVD's.

| I still use my way - using Skype for its p2p technology (since my both desktop and laptop are on the same router), the speeds are more than 12-5mb/s (these are the lowest). Better than any flash/cd/dvd.

Not correct. I'm getting higher speed using flash.

I set up a FTP server on my PC, I use it to transfer files to my sisters PC and other people can even access it for other useful things, 2 for 1.

But you have to switch computers all the time, plus it is limited capacity. And i usually DL from myself with 20-30MB/s, depends on HDD load and net usage :> So its good enough.
