Apache PHP file transfer help please?

When I transfer a file 100MB to my server it transfers, when I transfer a file 1GB to my server it fails.

I have set the size limit to 9GB in PHP.ini

what would cause it to fail? I'm pretty sure it's not timing out because I set all time outs to infinity.

Is it a dedicated server? How do you transfer? php is not a good way to transfer 1 gb..

I used a script called File Thingie as well as two other generic scripits they all failed. In the end FTP worked, it is just less fun to set up FTP than it is to set up PHP.

so in the end.. it is solved. Woot!
