Olawdy.
I honestly have nothing good to say about this, apart from the logo.

You haven't made anything here, you've got a render, smudged the fuck out of it, added a logo and put some nasty red line under it and put it on a plain white canvas.

What the dick?

The focal (render) is what you want people to look at.
You've smudged it, so their eyes wander over to the logo.

Possibly the worst sig I've seen on cef tbh.

If this isn't a troll, go on deviantart and look up sig tutorials.

It's supposed to look really out of focus, your eyes are supposed to look at the logo instead of the picture.
And that red line is a red crowbar.

Constructive critique time!

As Viral pointed out; you want viewers to see the render. You can see it but it's blurred to all hell. At least we both know what Gordan looks like through the eyes of a drunk though Very Happy!

What I would suggest doing is.. use the same render and put an actual background behind it. Preferably something you've made on your own. Blur little bits here and there (since blurring seems to be your preference) and add some points of interest with the blurring. Kind of like when a photographer captures his target and the background is blurred slightly for epic effect.

As far as the render itself goes.. there's numerous methods of making it stand out. Some people like to blend with the background image to give it a seamless effect and others like to leave the render unchanged but give small effects here and there to give radiance and such.

Deviantart or Pixel2Life has great tutorials. My suggestion. Look at other work, experiment and try to create the same effect they did.. then.. digest it, shit it out and work it to perfection in your own way. Aka. Use several methods and create hybrid techniques unique to yourself.

Edit*

The logo is out of focus also and not detailed at all. Tip thar for ya.

I don't like how it's smeared because it makes me feel like I am strung out on meth hard core. OR I'm going blind, either or.

Follow tutorials before going and making stuff by yourself and if you feel the need to do that and know the signatures bad, you probably shouldn't post it.

Aw. That's not nice. How else are you supposed to gain experience? Asking people for constructive critique is probably the best way to tighten up your work. Tutorials are fine and all. I even still use them sometimes and I've been designing since I was nine. The flaw about tutorials is that you are copying someone else's work and method. Cloning it. Unless you experiment and add your own details then you'll be just like everyone else. Obsessed with shininess and reflections that reflect each other. Surprised
