|
|
I just recently got the Dlink DIR 628 Dual Band Router
I have VOIP phone service
but ever since, I've been having problems as the other end of the line cannot hear me on the phone but I can hear them
I tried my old trendnet TEW 452 BRP router
and it doesnt have that problem
Is there something in the settings I have to do to the DLINK Router?
Any help would be appreciated as i need to solve this problem ASAP

Set QoS Priority for VoIP device?
I'm really not sure, it would probably be best to check with the provider's support.

Well I tried a different method of connecting it, by VOIP adapter directly to modem and VOIP to Router and Router To PC
everything works
but now my download speed literally dropped
before it was 800KBPS-1.2MBPS
now its 80-300 KBPS

I wouldn't think the VoIP adapter would be able to throughput the bandwidth of the entire network very well. I'm pretty sure you can set QoS for the adapter to have priority in the router settings.

Advanced > QoS Engine.
Check page 40 in the manual if you need to.
