Clock speed? As in CPU? How the fuck should we know what clock speed everyone runs their CPUs at?
DVDs hold 4.3GB or so.

lets do some calculations
2.4 GHz
2400000Hz
Hz = Revolutions per second
40 000 RPM
thats the speed.

you ask a lot of pointless questions, you know.
and my computers only accept DVD+R's and they're about 4.7gb.

DVD Re Writable is 4.7GB
BluRay Disc is 25GB
BluRay Dual Layer is 50GB
I'm currently on 2.66Ghz.
I agree, how are we supposed to know what Clock Speeds everyone buys, even if you want averagely you'd need to ask a very large majority for accuracy...

DVD+/- R/RW/RAMs accept 4.3GB of actual data; it's just marketed as 4.7GB to look more appealing.
Actual:
1 byte = 8 bits
1 kilobyte = 1024 bytes
1 megabyte = 1024 kilobytes
1 gigabyte = 1024 megabytes
1 terabyte = 1024 gigabytes
etc
Advertising:
1 byte = 8 bits
1 kilobyte = 1024 bytes
1 megabyte = 1000 kilobytes
1 gigabyte = 1000 megabytes
1 terabyte = 1000 gigabytes
etc

About clock speeds, that's way too general of a thing to ask. There are literally thousands of different types of CPUs with everything from dinosaurs to $20k supercomputers running simultaneously. Not everyone has the cash to go out and buy an i7 build, while the efficiency per clock cycle varies extremely greatly between different architectures. A single-core p4 CPU running at 4GHz is going to be significantly less powerful than a single-core core 2 processor running at 2.0GHz.
In the computing world there is no such thing as "modern". A computer that might be cutting-edge, top-of-the-line today might be mediocre at best in only several months.
