I find the Core i9 to be quite a interesting processor cause according to the web. A sneak peek at this shows 24 threads!
If a Core i9 is 6 cores with HT enabled then that would make it 12 threads.
To have 24 threads clearly mean this processor has dual QPI which are mostly found on Xeon based processors.
To have a desktop based cpu with dual QPI can only mean one thing.
Intel is probably going to have another try at their SkullTrial platform.
Too bad regular desktop boards cannot install 2 physical CPUs, you need a server based board to do it. Also only business and above OS will support it.
and here it is

I doubt two slots for desktop machines will happen soon. Top end chips are expensive enough as it is, I don't think that Intel would take a gamble of users being able to afford two CPUs on their system - especially with the current economical shitstorm.

There are two versions, one with two Xeon processors.
It's still a rip-off. Just look at the prices they put on upgrade parts. ($300 for a 1TB HDD? You couldn't pay that much for retail if you wanted to.)
