Core i5 is now available not just here
Video
As for those curious about that place, it's called Guang Hua Digital Plaza
For those who ever decides to visit that place, it's high recommended you go and check it out. Been there about 2 years ago and it's the best place to get all your computer parts bargain for a good deal.

Seriously if you haven't been there, then I suggest you keep your idiotic comments to yourself.
To us who live in the US and have not gone there before, we may think by look at that place, it sells cheap/fake stuff, but seriously that is how they sell it and it's all legit.

i7s are supposed to be "very high end" while i5s are supposed to be "medium-high end". The i7 will still reign supreme however the i5 will offer a better price/performance ratio.

I agree not everyone can afford high-end stuff.

Anyone remember AMD's socket 940 FX chips? They didn't last long at all before the socket was shifted to server/workstation usage, and the FX chips were moved to the mainstream socket 939.
I can definitely see that happening to LGA1366, as it doesn't sound like there's enough performance increase to justify i7 over i5. However, if they plan to introduce specific features only on i7 such as unlocked multipliers etc. then maybe I can see it sticking around. But imo mid-range and high-end chips should be in the same socket, budget chips I could care less about and there's no benefit to them sharing the same socket really.

Heh, I went there twice during summer vacation (just came back a week ago), looking for a laptop (that I eventually ended up buying at NOVA). Some people say the adjacent street (which also sells a lot of computer hardware and software) have lower prices to compete with the more popular digital plaza. To be honest, when I went, the selection was not very impressive at all. Pricing was still notably higher compared to what you'd find at Newegg even after accounting for taxes and a "sale" (comparing an MSI notebook to a similar MSI offering). However, one of the stores offered an E5200 at a pretty appealing price, and I would have gotten one with a mobo there if I was allowed to get something at the time (since we're all bargain hunters).
Eh, the price for the Kingston HyperX T1 RAM I have installed in my system was a bit high. But I got it at a tech expo from a Kingston direct distributor with some freebies (including a Kingston shirt which was probably the best out of the other things), so it wasn't too bad of a deal after all.
Fake Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I actually still have some stored in a dusty box hidden under my desk.
