I believe there is more than one hp/compaq computer with 1.8ghz dual and 1gig ram, be a little more specific?, like computer name or id?
320mb diskspace? XP alone is atleast a gig... |

Look in device manager for us and it should be in unknown devices (a catagory that is defined by a yellow cricle with a ? in the middle) _________________

Look around the whole case, there should be a name follow by a model number.
Once you find it go to Compaq's download page and download it. |

If the computer doesn't know then it's hard cuase it will only say like "ethernet controller" or something. _________________

Only if it can identify it and it can't without drivers.

It still has access to it so it can get the model id. |

Then show me how to do this. Becuase I have reinstalled windows over a hundred times. And it have never ever showed the model/brand or anything of interest. _________________
