well, its not really MY laptop, my mom told me to fix her laptop, but i just cant...
the performance was too slow
amount of time it needs to:__________
1.fully boot: 15-18 mins
2.open My Computer, My Documents, Start Menu, Internet Explorer: 10 seconds
it takes sooooooooo long to process
so i tried to defrag, no results
i tried to check for virus, none detected, i used eset smart security 4
finally i reformat it but it was crappier than before...
what should i do?
i almost forgot the specs:
128mb videocard
512 RAM
etc...
well its ok if its crap when i play games but its crap even when i just browse My Documents, browse internet, and other simple stuff
i really need help, if i go to computer repair shop they ask for money
i have no money right now, so only CEF can help me with this

Most likely a failing hard drive, I would do a total reformat of it and if it still doesn't improve buy a new HDD.

Laptop HD are 2.5"
There are 10,000-15,000rpm 2.5"drives, but it won't work because of their connectors and even if you can connect it, it may not fit as the size is a bit thick.
Anyway there are 7200rpm hard drives and that should give it a boost.
