You can download the Windows 7 RC1 from Microsoft, and run it in a Virtual Machine, or Install it on a new partition to test it...

It's better than vista for sure. They listened to their users this time and made some improvements that users requested. Good is good.
Also compeared to vista there's not much downsides. It basically supports what vista supports and so much more. There's no reason not to upgrade. Keep in mind that it hasnt been released yet (final v) so it might be buggy as for now. But all os:es are they are released.

Actually it has been fully released. At least to manufacturer. so it basically is at the final stages.
It is defiantely worth it, ive had it since it was early beta, and ive had no errors at all. it also makes vista look like windows 98. |

I meant the final release which you actually can buy in stores. ^.^
Manufactors say "buy a new computer now and get get windows 7 when it is time"
The release date for all language is scheduled to 31 oct 2009.

I don't know the exact prices, but they've been dropped a couple times, and Microsoft is offering special Vista-upgrade prices. Windows 7 is definitely worth getting when it comes out if you need a new OS.
In other news... RTM was cracked (lul). |
