|
|
For those of you, who dont know what the Watermark is, its the text in the bottom right cornor, which tells you which build you are using, ex:
Code: | Windows 7
Evaluation Copy. Build 7100 |
This will only work if you are using an english version, with english set as the language!
First of all, you will need to download this patch:
http://soft3.wmzhe.com/download/deepxw/RemoveWatermark_20090314.zip
Unpack the file (its in a .zip format, so you should be able to extract it)
If you are running a 32 bit Windows 7, you will need to run RemovewatermarkX86.exe, and if you are on a 64 bit, you should run RemovewatermarkX64.exe. Make sure you run it as adminstrator! (Righ-click, Run as Administrator)
It will launch, and print some text, and ask for your confirmation, type "Y" and press [Return]
Once it finishes, it tells you to "Press Enter to exit", do so.
Restart you computer, and the Watermark should be removed. If not, read on...
In case of the watermark not being removed upon restart, run the Command Prompt as adminstrator (start->type "cmd"->Right click->Run as Administrator)
Type in "mcbuilder.exe" and hit [Return]. Wait around a minute or so, untill it finishes. (if you arent sure when its done, just let it run for 5 mins, and you will be sure)
Close the cmd prompt and restart your computer, and the Watermark should be gone
Note:
I only tested this for Build 7100, but it should work on all builds.
I didnt not make this patch, i just wrote up a tutorial on how to apply it!

Thanks Anden.
I used to use this complicated way:
1. Open registry editor
2. Go to HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop
3. Change the key PaintDesktopVersion to 0
4. Log off and back on again
