recently my computer is slowing down
i reformat it but it cant work
here's what i do :
put the disk inside the cd-rom>wait till boot-up>press any key

ok then when the setup screen loads up i press enter
after that they said "please wait..." then it freeze there so i restart it
and i went to the setup screen again but this time i press "r". it still freezes

what can i do now?

i went to safe mode also cant work
it auto restart

Your disc is probably scratched is what I'm guessing.
Have you tried using a different disc? Or using that disc on a different PC?

the disc isn't scratch
its my pc slow
the pc specs are :
Memory : 256MB
HDD : 40GB(11GB used)
Clockspeed : 1.05GHz(overclocked to 1.40GHz)

any idea that i can recover my pc?

almost forget. when boot-up, then i press F8 all options can't work. it auto restarts

if the cd is not scratch, i think your hard drive is broken...

what's the reason you need to reformat?

-virus?
-damaged registry?
-corrupt files?
-need new OS?

does your hard drive have a partition?
like one hard drive = C:/ and D:/
or you have two hard drives
maybe the partition is broken

i suggest you buy an external hard drive
you can put your important files there
just in case your internal hard drive is damage

my computer slows down if i download MMORPG games and store it in my storage
and the reason is it slows down even i delete cookies,temp files and etc

anyway its ok now. i transfer the RAM to different DIMM
my father is making money to get a new pc and ISP for me

It's probably just slow, like you said yourself.
Just leave it on while loading and let it do its stuff. Dont restart the pc. Just wait an hour and go watch tv or something
