I've got awesome speeds, the torrents have over 100 seeds, yet they are stuck at 0.

you might need to open your ports, or check settings in your torrent client.

I'm getting less than 1kbps on a 20mbps connection.
I hate it all.

Not really and it all depends on what you are downloading.
site wrote: | Torrents themselves are not illegal. They are simply small files that help a BitTorrent client connect to a tracker and find peers to download files from. Nor is downloading stuff using torrents necessarily illegal. The BitTorrent protocol is a legitimate way to distribute large files without straining a server too much. It is used for legal software like Linux distros and OpenOffice, as well as some public domain music and videos.
Using torrents to download copyrighted material without permission is, of course, illegal. |

Your ISP is probably throttling your speeds because it has detected torrent connections, whether or not you're downloading something illegal. Many ISPs are being pressured into destroying net neutrality and monitoring their users' connections to "help" the copyright holders. What this really does is make people mad, and more likely to support something such as the pirate party to ensure their privacy (read: piracy) online.
You have a few choices depending on how your ISP is monitoring your traffic:
Encrypt your torrent connections.
Use a proxy, may need to be encrypted. And if you want a decent connection, buy it.
Buy (yes, pay for) a seedbox.
Switch your ISP to one that is dedicated to privacy.
These are only the first few steps, soon enough you may receive a letter from your ISP or other organisations stating you have been downloading illegal files. You should protect yourself sooner rather than later, because it may be too late by then.
