I want to Port Forward my uTorrent, but I need a Static IP for that. I've done everything right, but when I clicked okay my internet got disconnected. The tutorial said it might be my DNS server. So what do I do now?

Um...you don't neccessarily need a static IP address. I used to port forward when I hosted my own website, and I was using DHCP. If I needed to I would go into my router settings and edit what IP address that was used in the port forwarding, but it rarely changed. Also, if I'm not mistaken, if your network uses DHCP, manually setting your network settings (default gateway, IP address, subnet, etc) will stop your internet connectivity, or at least it always did for me. Anyway, just setup port forwarding for your current IP address and then change it as needed.

If you don't feel like trying to figure out your ISP's DNS server, you can always do the lazy method and use OpenDNS, whose nameservers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. It's usually a few ms faster than your ISP's DNS servers, but comes with the annoying thing of redirecting invalid entered domain names to it's search engine. Meh.

Also, be absolutely certain that, if you're using a router, that your "modem" isn't acting as a router-modem. Sometimes you'll be required to forward your router-modem to your router, then your router to your machine. For example (local IPs being referenced only, of course):

Router-modem is 192.168.0.1
Router is 192.168.1.1
Machine with uTorrent is 192.168.1.20
Port you're trying to to open is 55111 (note: ports above 55,000 are reserved for personal use. It's best to use them as opposed to ports below 55k to avoid any possible, however unlikely, conflicts with other programs)

The router-modem must have port 55111 open and forwarded to 192.168.1.1. The router must have port 55111 open and forwarded to 192.168.1.20. 192.168.1.20 must have port 55111 open and uTorrent must be listening on port 55111.
