|
|
Sometimes when I go to websites, they go to a different one but keep the url. And I think it only goes to sites in my history
Example: I went to www.google.com, and it took my to www.imageshack.us, but it still said www.google.com in the url. Clearing my cache did nothing, restarting browser did nothing. But on my brother's computer, (both using ethernet cables) this never happens. So it must be my computer. After a while it fixes itself, but this pisses me off, it even did this to forum.cheatengine.org. And when I used a proxy to go there, it loaded fine.
Why does my computer do this?
if you need any other info just ask
EDIT: HERE!

Your hosts file is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
You can open it with notepad and be sure only what you need is there. Also, to be sure it's not from your adobe patch, copy the contents and delete everything in the file, then see if your net still screws up. If it does, decide between buggy internet or adobe.
But I doubt it's your host file.

That won't screw with your connect except to activate.adobe.com
Run a malware/virus scan and look for any suspicious processes running using the task manager.

Don't delete it, it's blocking your PC access to Activating your Adobe products... Illegal photoshop huh?

No, the activation.adobe.com thing is not the source of the problem, don't worry about your host file or adobe products, they aren't the cause.
I believe you have a virus.

If you don't like AVG, you can always try Avira.
Also, try download malwarebytes and do a scan with it.

I suggest Comodo, but be warned, you will spend atleast an hour accepting and denieing applications.
