|
|
I'm planning on getting a 4870 but then a question came to mind, is the 1GB version necessary, or is 512mb fine? Basically im saying is it worth the money for 1GB version of the 4870.

You'd want the 1GB for resolutions around 24 - 25" & up.
But there's only like a 10 dollar difference, so what the hell, get the 1GB in my opinion.

The 1gb frame buffer will definitely prove useful.

Yea but the XFX version has a double lifetime warranty. Sapphire not so sure. Plus if they perform about the same, ill take the double lifetime anyway.

Smart choice, just remember to register your product within 30 days or you're stuck with a 1 year warranty.
