Yes, SLI is only for Nvidia cards while CROSSFIRE is for ati cards.
I'm not sure about the wattage, I have a corsair 650w and I have only one 260 GTX running.
According to http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
650w will be fine.

It depends if you have enough amps on the +12v rail(s).
If it's a Corsair, then yes, it would work. Some cheaper 650w PSU's wouldn't be able to support two of them.

Overall wattage doesn't really say much. Like for example, you can have a PSU with a 800w total wattage with a rating of 40a on the 12v+ rail when a PSU with a total wattage of 600 has a 50a rating on the 12v+ rail. Get what I'm saying?
Anyways you're going to want around 41 - 46A on the 12v+ rail if I'm not mistaken.
Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139002&Tpk=620w%20corsair
Would be more than enough, however the 650w corsair would be better considering that 620w I linked has multiple 12v+ rails. It's typically better to have a single 12v+ rail.

Yes, it'll handle it.
For a mobo recommendation, get an Asus and what do you mean what else do you need?

Pretty much, well that and if your case can fit the 2 cards.
The GTX 260 is a pretty long card. Like for example, if you had an Antec 900 case, you would have to move one of the drive bays for it to fit.
