This are the first two pictures I have made while practicing to make sigs and avatars. I need to know if I'm headed in the right direction. Any opinions?

answer: No
reason:
quality not blending on collage
you are mixing images with different quality each picture and its not blending at all and yet I see no sense in the images you are mixing, there is like nothing relating the pictures to be there.
also you can see how they are getting pixelated and sharp blended.
way to get better:
get better renders to make the collages and think before pasting on.
here is a reference of the style you re achieving

A bit big for a sig/avvy?
Anyway, its not bad, but I'm not particularly keen on the mixture of media (2D/3D, if you see what I mean...).

to gogodr:
Im using Gimp2
yo Mobsy:
I was just messing around with some random renders to see if I could get used to dealing with them. I didn't really pay attention to the look of each render. Lol. I was pretty lazy with this...

Too messy, and i'm taking a guess and saying that you blew up(expanded) a lot of the renders, in which case, a lot of resolution was lost.

I actually made a lot of the renders smaller.

They all look stretched though o.o
normally when a render is shrunken, the quality stays the same.

well, I made a siggy this time around and I think this is better. What do you think?
EDIT: I don't know what happened to the siggy but it won't upload now.
