Just wondering, and if so, why do you use it so often?

I do it everytime I feel my computer is super slow.

If you got Vista, then your system will defrag every single time your system is idle.

i do it once a week with TuneUp Utilities' defragger, which is much more efficient than not doing it for a while and then having to wait ages for it to defrag the next time.

I used to use ashampoo magic defrag, it defrags while you're idle and stops when you're using your computer.
Since I formatted, didn't install it. I just defragment once or twice a week with Diskeeper 2009

This happens with XP as well.
Autodefrag after 15 minutes of idle time, but it can be disabled.

I haven't defragged since I formatted October 27 2008.

What defrager would you guys recommend?
I'm using XP and I'm using the Windows Defrag, but I know there are better ones.

Try reading the thread?
So far ive seen JKDefrag, TuneUp Utilities' defragger and ashampoo magic defrag mentioned.

I never bother with defragging, dont really see the need to do so.

Another way instead of defragging is to (if you got a large spare drive) is to transfer everything over, format the original and transfer everything back.
