Just guessing.

-Slicey dicey the sig.
-Add borders.
-Add a drop shadow.

You use the Selection and Move tool, or at least that's how I did it.

1.) Make initial signature ( Render, background, effects, etc )

2.) Open a new image, and set the size the exact same as your initial image.

3.) Use Rectangle Select tool, and cut boxes out from your initial signature.

4.) Paste the cut-rectangles in the exact same spot that you cut them from.

5.) Draw a 1px border around each box.

6.) Apply drop-shadow.

Seems too complicated for me:

1. Make a back-up of the original sig.
2. Merge all the layers into one layer.
3. Get the Selection Tool and select a part of the sig.
4. Increase the canvas size.
5. Use the Move tool or move it by using Ctrl (+ Shift) + Arrow Keys.
6. Do the same for the other parts.
7. Save the file.

Yes, my method is like iTz SWAT's, but I still haven't tried it to make look like yours.

But then that would be a problem, because simply moving the pieces would cause the edges not to line up...

This would be what happens if you just simply move the pieces.

Why would you draw it?
Layer effects>stroke path>black 1-2px.

If you're referring to Step 5, it's because I'm not so lazy as to skip 15 seconds of work. :3
