Wrong Section?
My school district blocks by CATEGORY. Cheatengine forums are labeled as Gaming. GAMING?@?!? AlbinoBlackSheep is Obscene / Tasteless
Does anyone know how to get past a filter like this one?
list of categories I know are block (cant think of all)
Adult (duh)
Gambling
Hacking
Gaming
Proxy / Filter Avoidance
silabsoft's client was NOT blocked, (I think because it was "Educational") kinda fun to play RS with a bunch of friends at school

if it's by domain name you could try going to " http://174.142.61.111/forum/ " (just don't even think about posting)
if it's something that checks the title, no
moved from ce to comp talk

Why can't we post on that one? I might try using that one at school since mine also blocks by category, but I go to a DODEA (Department of Defense Education Association) school so it might not work since they have their own military filter.

The only difference between http://174.142.61.111/forum/ and http://www.cheatengine.org/forum/ is the address name. Have you tried, you know, logging into the forum?

There are billions of filters and almost each school uses a different filter.
If your school isn't lazy then they would most likely block the IPs of the websites as well.

I used to get around them with Anonymouse.org but then they blocked that.

Most sites aren't blocked by IP because there can be many sites on one IP, shared hosting. An IP will only be blocked if it can be confirmed belonging to only one site, or all sites attached are in fact inappropriate for school. Common filters around Texas are N2H2 and WebSense. If you're more interested in bypassing said filters, see: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?p=4150746#4150746
