Hi, I have a problem with my computer that I've had for about a year or so. Everytime I do something that requires the computer to work like playing games or watching movies(flash movies like youtube) my computer start to lag like hell. Let's take a game for example, at first everything works perfectly and I have around 70-100 fps dependng on the game I play but after like 3 sec i get a huge fps drop so my fps are at 10-15 only. And it's like that for several minutes, then it gets back to 70-100 fps for 3 sec and then down again... and it keeps going like that.

I've been searching about this and I've got several results with people that have the same problem. The answer they got was that the computer didn't get the power it needed and got to hot, so I bought a new power supply and it didn't change anything(original was 280W and the new is 430W). And I installed another fan wich only reduced the temperature with 5C. I think that the problem is the temperature because just before the fps drop begins I can hear the fans start spinning faster to try to reduce the temperature. When idle the temperature is around 65-70C and when playing games it goes beyond what SpeedFan can show :S...

My computer spec if it helps:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz HT (Hyper threading)
RAM: 1GB
Video card: ATI Radeon x800 256MB (Not original, original melted O_o)

Is it what I think it is or is it something else that screws my computer? Any advises but buying a new computer (Don't afford it)?

Sigh.. Did you buy a new Power supply before calculating how much actual WATTS you need?
