| Get a HD4850 and if your budget allows it, a Q6600

My budget is ~$750.
Is this good, or does it really make a difference which HD4850 card I choose?

Pretty good build all around. It should work together. Here's some suggestions:
CPU: E5200 - Although it's a bit slower, it's half the price of your E7400. It also offers better overclockability (lower FSB, higher multiplier, same 45nm process).
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-400CX - Similar "power performance" with higher efficiency. Lots of power on the +12v rail (30A) and it's cheaper than the OCZ500SXS. Also, use the EMCLRLN23 Newegg coupon code for $10 off, sweetening the deal.
GPU: GTS 250 - About 25% faster for a good price. I would have recommended the HD 4850, but seeing as it's only a few dollars cheaper and that the GTS 250 still performs a bit better than it, this one seemed like a better deal.

Should a 400w PSU be able to handle everything, or is the power not based on the wattage? Also, I'm checking out the other things you recommended.
EDIT:After using a power calculator, it should probably work. Thanks.

I would replace the Big Typhoon with this;
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233003
which should be about the same price after shipping.
I've had the BT in my current computer before it broke down.
Used the hdt-s1283 in a recent build and I find it alot better, also puts less stress on the motherboard.

Apparently, I need a different PSU:

Minimum of a 450 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amps.) |

Is this a little smaller than the BT, and will it fit in my case? (And yes, it's just about the same price after shipping.)

Great Build...
Possible switch to a 22" monitor but it's fine...
Just double check that all your parts fit into the Antec 300...

Wtf are you talking about.
DON't listen to shit SHIT
This computer will requer about 200-300watt, which mean 400watt will
be enought.
My HTPC is using a dualcore 2.2gHz with an 120watt PSU.
Also the MS under 6 doesn't really matter.
It really depends from monitor and monitor.
Prices on computer part will always fall fast, so it doesn't really matter
to buy a "future proof" because they will never be future proof.
Hope this retard stops fucking up peoples computers.
Regards Humper

Humper is right, and that CPU is actually really good for the price.

I believe it's longer than the BT but more slim. I'm pretty sure it will fit after I just took the mesurements, the antec 300 is about 203 mm wide and the fan is about 120mm.
Also, it is quite a pain to install but it's worth it in the end. Does preform better than the BT too.
Good luck.
