Ok here is my question, if I have a 8800 GTS 512, and I want to use SLI mode, do I have to have another 8800 GTS 512? Or can it be like a 8800 GT or a 9800 GTX?
Because I heard in crossfire it's like were if I have a 4830 I can use a 4850 and 4870 with it, is that true?

In SLi they need to be the same card. Same model, same memory etc.
With Crossfire you can mix them up yes, but it will clock them down to the speed of the slowest card so it's a waste.
But multi-card setups are a waste in general unless you're running 2 top-end cards on a high-res display of 1920x1080 or more.
If you do actually have an 8800gts, you definitely would be throwing money out the window if you bought a second card. Unless you have a GTX260 or a 4850 at a minimum, plus a 1080P display, it just won't scale well.

lol, If I could even afford another 8800 GTS I would get like a 9800 gtx+, instead or at least save up for one.
Thanks for the info.
