|
|
1. How do I make it so when I put it my USB, it synchronises with a folder on my desktop, adding files I've added and replacing old files with updated versions.
2. How do I limit internet use for SOME users, say a program that starts itself in the background when the user logs on and limits downloads to a certain speed?
3. How do I make something a .mkv file? I want to add 3 soundtracks to audio so it can be played with VLC player and different tracks can be selected.
4. How do I change/add details for songs, the details that show up in Windows Media Player?
EDIT: 5. How do I change the things that show upon right clicking a file, or where they go to? I recently installed Microsoft Office 2007 and now when I right click -> edit then it opens up in word! I want it to open up in notepad.
Thanks in advance, Zelda_454

1. Do it manually, I can't think of any other ways.
2. I think that could be done by editing properties for the specific MAC-adresses via the router.
3. VLC is a sucker loading .mkv files, or, atleast with movies.
4. I have iTunes to do that, but seeing as iTunes is very slow, I actually won't recommend it, I just need it.
Hope this helped, lul.

#2 is a retarded question. you want to limit someone's bandwidth on your own computer?
i don't think so.
unless they are using separate user accounts possibly.

I am, my sister uses this (condition of me getting a PC) and she doesn't know that watching movies online uses bandwidth, so how do I limit it?

If you limit her bandwidth to the point of it doing anything beneficial to you, it's going to lag her movie watching and end up fucking you over anyway.

I think she will just give up on watching movies if it takes a minute to buffer every few seconds

Well, for #4, you can just " right click the song -> properties -> summary -> advance " and edit it there.
For #2.. get a simple program that'll limit the bandwidth, go into that users account and put it into the startup?

#4 = Get winamp.
Add all songs to playlist.
Highlight all > Send to: > Auto tag.

And if you want album art that it didn't pick up, go to iTunes, select all albums right click "Get album art".
You need an account for that though.

You can add album art with most any media player/manager, just that iTunes will do it for you. Doesn't mean you have to actually use it.
I did all of my (large amount of) music with WMP, took a while.
