After recently uninstalling Hotspot Shield, some pages don't load when I try to go to them, and this comes up.
Pages like google work but pages like whatismyip and various other forums (including this) don't work. Online games work aswell.
I tried restarting the connection and computer, looking in my hosts file but its empty (except for the notes), flushing dns and ipconfig release, renew; didn't fix the problem.
After reinstalling HSS, the pages all worked, but I can't download from filehosting sites because of shared ip's, so I would like to know how to revert back to normal, thanks.

Yup, I got a problem with HS Shield too.
Just don't use it.
If you got restore point, system restore.
If not, uninstall it then reboot.

I did what you said and restored to a point before I installed it, but the problem still happens!

It happens regardless of the browser, I tried them all.
It might have something to do with VPN or TAP; which HSS modifies, but I have no idea what they are and how to fix them.
