Ever seen a black round ball , thats a security camera. I'm wondering does it view 360 degrees?

No, they have a rotating camera within them that can only see up to 90 degrees at a time. The outer shell is meant to help mount the camera.

If I remember correctly, some casinos have cameras that do record 360 degrees, but the little one in stores, doubtful.

The cameras inside the dome does not rotate, it's fixed, but depending on their lenses sizes also determines how much a camera can see.
Rotating camera are really expensive therefore regular households or small shop probably will not get them at all.

um, they're not always fixed. a lot of the time they have the ability to rotate, so that shopkeepers (generally larger stores/supermarkets), or even lifeguards, can record people on tape and bust them. the ones you see in corners, the tiny little ones, don't move, they just record a whole view for 24 hours. and it's kinda sad that OP just realised that.

the real trouble tih those caps is u cant see where the camera is pointed, no it does not observe and record at 360 degree's all around but yea, the lens can still be proven to be a problem when u dont know where the camera underneath is being pointed.
