Can someone help me choose some parts for my new pc.
(Its finally becoming a reality...)
Im aiming to spend >$1100 On the parts itself. (I have a total budget of $1500, but Im getting new monitor/keyboard/mouse)
So if anyone can throw around a few build ideas.
I will be buying my parts from MSI, a link to their prices are here:

All Prices in AUD.
I want it quad core with 4gb of RAM.
So,
Mobo:
CPU: [Quad Core]
HDD: Western Digital SATA 500gb - $93
GPU:
PSU:
Case: Thermaltake SopranoVX - $129
DVD/CD:
RAM: [4gb]

PSU: Coolermaste Extreme 550Watt 78$
Mobo: Asus P5Q - 209$
RAM: 2G DDR2 G.Skill 35$ x2 70$
DVD: Sony Dual layer 28$
This+ the HDD and case is 1197$ total

Thanks for the tips, not sure if I want to spend that much on the CPU, because if I do I'll have to spend less than intended on my monitor.

I didn't see the Q6600 on the site you gave. I suggest to take q6600 though

Yeah, I was intending to buy a Q6600, it used to be on their site, but it appears they no longer stock it.

If you can get the Q6600 somewhere else, I'd suggest you take it
