hello guys, i was wonderng if there is anyway, i can use my thumb drive to act as those bootable CD? because i wanna reformat my laptop to some other OS... because i do it often, buying CD will cost a bomb to me.. so i was wondering if i can use a thumbdrive since it is always able to delete and put new OS to reformat..

if your bios supports usb booting you surely can do it. If not then your screwed.

Has to be quite old for it not to support usb boot.
To answer the OP's question, just google "install [OS] from flash drive" and you should find results. If it's for XP, there's a good one on an EEE site somewhere.

It depends what operating system you're going to want it to have on it. For instance, if you want Windows XP, this is a tutorial a number of people have followed. There are countless others. If it's a Linux distro you're looking for, some have downloads specifically for USB drive, others you can use unetbootin with a tutorial to have the ISO load as if it were the CD.
