I just need some clarification of Newegg/computer terms.
1. What exactly is memory standard? I also want to know that if I have a motherboard whose memory standard is DDR2 1366(O.C)/1066, can I stick in a 800 Mhz RAM in it?
2. I can't word this for some reason so I'll give you an example. I want to buy a motherboard, but its suppoerted CPU FSB is 1600/1333MHz, can I install a processor whose Tech Spec FSB is 1066?
Thanks

If you get a Mobo with a FSB of 1333/1600 then no you couldn't use a CPU thats 1066.
They did this to prevent overclocking IMO. As I have a mobo thats FSB 800/1066/1333, my CPU is 800 O.C.ed to 1336 (roughly). The joy's of getting a Core 2 Duo before they knew it was so powerful.

Facepalm.
2. FSB speed is adjustable via motherboard BIOS; you can run it above or below the factory-determined speeds. If you run it below the maximum factory-rated speed, then your motherboard and CPU should operate normally. If you plan to run it at higher than the factory-rated speeds (both for the motherboard and CPU), then it may not run as intended. P35's can usually go to 1333MHz, 1600MHz with some extra voltage and depending on the processor. P45's can usually go to 1600MHz under stock conditions.
1. RAM operating speed, timings, and voltage will reduce/change as per JEDEC's specific SPD readings for the RAM. Most of the time, DDR2 RAM will be plug-and-play compatible with DDR2-supporting motherboards, and the same with DDR and DDR3.
