Try this:

99.999% sure heapsize is a defunct switch in the source engine now and should not be fucked with any more.

Do you get a 'looping sound' thing when you try and play? If you can make it into the menu, try messing with your page pool memory setting, and the multi-core optimizations.

i only got the sound when i click "break in debugger"
i can't even get to the menu either.
