Well this is the story:
I have an low performance computer (by my vote) and suddenly the computer started to freeze in games (mostly Battlefield 2).
I reinstalled Windows XP like 6 times without reformating my harddisk where i have my games on.
I think those freezes are because beds on my hdd (harddisk).
The games freeze at random minutes; there's no sound and i only see the last frame of the game. The only thing i can do is restart the computer...
If it's because bds then i must buy an external hdd because i have lots of games on the hdd...
PC SPECS.:
Intel Celeron 2.40 Ghz
1.5 Gb RAM
ATI RADEON 9700 PRO Family 256 MB
i don't know the ohers... _________________

Hardware :
* a hardware specification does not meet requirements
Software :
* drivers
* settings
Other :
* temperature
* not sufficient power supply
* storage conflicts : memory conflicts or a faulty hard disk, respectively |

Try uninstalling uneeded and unwanted files,software, & programs on your computer. These things can slow your computer down.
After you have uninstalled uneeded and unwanted things restart your computer and then try BattleField.
Note: Before doing any of this, make sure there aren't any viruses on your computer.
Here's a accurate and self virus scanner.

I'm not really sure if formatting will really help (have/had the same problem). Did that then installed windows 7, instead of freezing
you will get a message now with a bit more information about the problem.
Would check temperature and PSU and for storage conflicts, drivers don't really seem to help and neither does hardware above recommended (not even with settings on low :O ). |
