Does your monitor show a light? is it CRT?
Does your pc light come on and keyboard/mouse + fans come on and can you hear the hard drive?
if so your monitor has probably blown.

Have you gone through this?
It's hardware, since it doesn't show BIOS on the monitor. Does the 4870 work on another computer perchance?

Since your monitor is working with another computer then it's not the monitor.
On your P5Q system unplug the power cord, clear the CMOS and try again.

IF a motherboard beeps, then a motherboard is "fine".
IF a motherboard does not beep, then a motherboard is "dead".
Remove all the components from a motherboard, in order to find out whether a motherboard is OK.
If a motherboard beeps, then re-install components one-by-one to find out a faulty one.
Does that P5Q motherboard have integrated graphic chipset on-board ?

Depends on the motherboard. Not all beep codes for one manufacturer/model will translate for another.
