Yes 500w will be enought but I would recommend you to get corsair.

I don't buy amd anymore so i can't tell you anything about that.
But on the rest I can just tell that its all good.

Great budget chip. More powerful than a Q6600 clock-for-clock by about 2.5%. You'll likely be able to overclock the shit out of it with a good CPU cooler (I've heard of getting between 3.8-4.0GHz on air)

I just need a good motherboard with it that has at least 1 pci x16 2.0 slot

Im thinking about this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131362
What's your price range for a board?

Good choice??, also Im new to amd but after I saw the deal, I had to get it.

Other things Im getting
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130434
An HD4870 is $40 cheaper and performs almost identically to a GTX 260 in "unbiased" games.
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184
Good.

Last question.. Will 500w power my stuff?
If it's good, yes. Wattage isn't very important. Get something with 1 decent +12v rail. Never get something with more than 2 +12v rails. Anything by Corsair, OCZ or PCP&C should be good.

The PSU is fine.

A modular PSU allows you remove whatever cables attached to your PSU you aren't using to help alleviate some clutter. If it isn't modular, it won't make much of a difference if your case is large enough.

It tells you how much it will charge when you enter your paypal details and u click buy.

But aslong as tax is included and MIR is NOT included, your fine.[/quote]

Depends where you live, if they have a warehouse/HQ there. For instance, I live in New Jersey and I have to pay tax on my things from newegg.com. I think the other states are Tennessee and California, there may be another.

Yes, you have to pay tax if you live in a few specific states where their warehouses are located (as Karakawe stated). The complete details on it are here, under "Does Newegg.com charge sales tax?".

About the GTX 260 Core 216, it was $180 after MIR ($200 before MIR) the other day on Newegg (the same model), so you might want to be patient and save $20. Or you can be like me and wait for the GT-300 or R800 GPUs with full DX11 standards support (a lot of path improvements for more direct communication between graphics processor and application). It's always a battle between the time of purchase and price for me.

Also consider switching to MX-2, instead of AS5. It's a bit better for the same price.

This begs to differ. MX-2 barely made it into the top 10.

Doesnt EVGA let you upgrade for the cost of the difference? Or is it a totally different system lol.

EVGA's step-up program lasts 3 months, so you might be able to catch the first release wave of GT300 chips if you're lucky (they're planned for an August release, IIRC), although I'd expect the prices of the GT300 cards to drop quickly soon after release if the R800 makes it out in time to counter the GT300, although it probably will drop even if the R800 doesn't come out on time as planned.

TL;DR: I would wait a bit before buying the GTX 260 Core 216, in order to take advantage of any upcoming price drops and to be able to use EVGA's Step-Up program to the best effect. A month to 3 months from now should give a good amount of headroom.

Or else you could get yourself a cheap filler card right now (under $100) and save up for the GT300 in August.
