If I want to move the image left or right, fine, but I can't go up or down w/o it jumping around a little bit. It's not a big deal normally, but I'm trying to create an animation and that little jump really makes look bad. Help?

You may have your snap-to selected. Check in your view menu, and see if snap has a check mark beside it. If it does just select it, and the check mark should disappear.

At the top left, under file, click on the little icon of the tool (not the one to select it), click the arrow pointing to the right and click 'Reset Tool'.
