|
|
Hello, I have recently downloaded some weird program and when I ran it on my computer it dissapeared (Deleted itself)
Since I didn't have any AV's I decided to download SUPERAntiSpyware.
I ran the scan and it detected a virus, it quarantined it but after I restarted my computer I couldn't see anything! The only thing that was there was a random folder that pops up every time I log in..
1. I don't have my OS Disc (My computer came without one)
2. I have scanned again since I have had this problem
Please help.
fyi I can recover my desktop by opening Task Manager, Clicking "File," "Run," and typing "Explorer." But it has something to do with my computer starting up.

well you could create a task that would run explorer.exe when the computer starts up
or you could reformat, which would solve all the problems
just partition your hard drive and make 2-3 new areas and put the files you want to save on a separate partition and then it will work

Put explorer.exe in your startup folder.
And that folder is part of explorer.exe.

Why didn't you have an AV?
I'd recommend to reformat because I bet you have over 1000 Viruses that you didn't know about...

Your computer crashed. crss.exe is deleted all you can do is reformat which is your only chance. You can buy a cd from a computer store you just bring you computer with you to the computer shop.
After its fixed get avast from the site( search google ). theres a free edition if u dont want to buy it.

The program removed explorer.exe onto your startup list.
Download StartupRun from Nirsoft.
Then add > explorer.exe

I'm suspecting you may have a pre-build system like Dell and so.
If that is the case you will not get any recovery disc, but the preinstall OS should be inside your HDD.
Check your manual to find out what keys to press to access it.
e.g. Dell = Ctrl+F11
