I have a laptop that i've had for about 4 months now and its still in the box cause i got it as a gift but its vista and i didnt even bother to open it but im curios now so MY QUESTION IS: CAN I DOWNGRADE TO WINDOWS XP if it sais its made for vista?

Yes you can downgrade if you get a windows xp disk, but it wouldn't really work as well.

Why the drivers are only ment for vista? cause i do infact have a xp disk ready to go and install i just wanna know before i mess up anything cause unfortunately i dont have a vista backup just incase i have to back up to vista u know?...

Before you install XP,
  1. Be sure there are XP drivers for your computer, and
  2. Be sure to have them somewhere at hand for post-installation. Remember the general order of installation, too.

If you don't have a vista backup and you have a writable dvd-rom then you can always make one.

Just install it to a partition, so if it doesn't work you still have Vista!

i dont know how in once attempted it but i fucked up my computer havent done it ever since wanna enlighten me and just give a little tip on how i can do it?
